AUREUS PHARMA ENTERS INTO AGREEMENT WITH SERVIER FOR BUILDING DRUG INTERACTION PREDICTIVE TOOLS

Paris, France (November 2002) - AUREUS PHARMA, a leading knowledge management-based drug discovery company and a solution provider for the life sciences industry, today announces that it has entered into an agreement with SERVIER to build up an ADMET (absorption, distribution, metabolism, elimination and toxicity) database and related tools. This database gives subscribers access to information on all major ADMET data allowing to detect potential pitfalls related to negative ADMET properties and optimize the drug development value chain. SERVIER researchers will be able to exploit all ADMET-related information from a single, integrated knowledgemanagement platform. This integrated computational solution will facilitate the generation of powerful drug interaction prediction models, identifying at early stages the most promising and safe clinical development candidates. The ADMET system, after the 7-TM database is the second product developed by AUREUS Pharma. "We believe that in silico predictive models are key elements in a valuable drug discovery and development process. This agreement validates the high potential of AUREUS PHARMA technologies based on an efficient exploitation of current experimental knowledge. We are delighted to associate SERVIER in our project to build an integrated platform dedicated to the discovery of safer and more efficient drugs." said Dr. André Michel, President of AUREUS PHARMA.
